As an international psychoanalyst, Dr. Nesci is familiar with online psychotherapy as well as with classical psychodynamic psychotherapy in Italian and in English. Dr. Nesci is also the supervisor of a team of psychoncologists who practice online psychotherapy in Italian with cancer patients and their relatives (Nesci and Colls., 2018). Dr. Nesci is the inventor of Multimedia Psychotherapy, a new form of Art Therapy originally designed for working through grief, that he created with the help of his artist son, Filippo A. Nesci, BFA, when his parents died, in 2007. Although Multimedia Psychotherapy was conceived as a psychotherapy to help patients suffering from grief, it soon became possible to envision other clinical situations in which it could be effectively applied, such as Alzheimer’s disease and Prenatal Life. In 2009 the first scientific paper on Multimedia Psychotherapy appeared in the Journal of Psychiatric Practice (Nesci, 2009) while in 2012 the first handbook on Multimedia Psychotherapy was published in the U.S. by Jason Aronson (Nesci, 2012). To become an international patient of Dr. Nesci, in the EU only, one can contact him at dr.danesci@gmail.com for Multimedia Psychotherapy or for psychodynamic psychotherapy (for any psychological problem: anxiety, panic attacks, post traumatic stress disorder, burnout syndrome, psychosomatic problems, psycho-oncological support, grief, etc.).

PET LOSS GRIEF COUNSELING

Sydney
Multimedia Psychotherapy can be also applied by Dr. Nesci and his team of Italian artists (vis-à-vis or online, in English or in Italian) when the lost “love object” is a pet, the patient is suffering from prolonged grief disorder (according to ICD-11), and is a citizen of Italy or any EU Country.
The Pet Loss Grief Counseling program, instead, has been designed to help only citizens of every other Country in the world, letting them have access to an audiovisual working through of their normal grief for the loss of their beloved pet.
This is not a medical program nor a psychotherapy and should never replace a therapy or a medical/psychological consultation.
The Program offers the unique opportunity to meet 8 times (for 45 minutes each time) in videoconference (Skype, Facetime, WhatsApp) with Dr. Domenico A. Nesci and be instructed, step by step (pictures, video clips, music files, etc.), on how to organize the pet’s audiovisual digital files so that one of the Italian multimedia artists of Dr. Nesci can produce a video to remember the owner’s beloved pet. The pet’s owner will not receive a medical/psychological treatment, but will share his/her pet’s digital files, discuss them, and be helped to understand the deep meanings of the art work remixed by the Italian artist of Dr. Nesci’s team. Finally, the video will be forwarded to the pet’s owner through Internet.
The pet’s owner will make a donation of moderate value (ranging from € 500 to € 1,000) for eight 45 minutes videoconference meetings with Dr. Nesci and the production of the pet’s video (usually, 3-6 minutes remix). To produce the pet’s video, at least 40 digital pictures and 1 audio file (a song or music) are requested. To access the program, please contact Dr. Nesci through WhatsApp at his cell phone +393335820723 or by email: dr.danesci@gmail.com or presidente.iiprthp@gmail.com
